KU, Joe-College face new battle in lengthy legal contest
Didn't a previous article state that one of the shirts on the violations list, the Muck Fizzou, was also being sold by a KU authorized store like Jayhawk Spirit?? Where's the justice in that?

What do you think of the new turnpike roundabout?
I've used the turnpike roundabout several times and I think it's the stupidest thing I've ever seen. I'm sure we'll see many tractor trailer rig problems. Also, the reason Lawrence has never had a 'real' mall, is because the city and DTL Assoc won't let anyone compete with downtown.

Algae to blame for water's foul smell, taste
It was so funny to read this today, because I went to 23rd St. Brewery with my son the other day and he complained that his water tasted like dirt. I had squeezed lemon in mine, so didn't notice. He ordered a soft drink instead, and he could still taste it. It must have been the ice. He couldn't even drink it. He was the only one at our table who it really bothered, but as the article says, some people are more sensitive to it than others. I'll have to share this with him.

On the record
Don't like it at all. Very difficult. Old format was much more reader friendly.

Would you vote to approve a 1-cent sales tax increase for additional city funding?
Well, I don't really mind the idea, but I know people would head outside lawrence for big ticket items like cars, if other counties has lower sales tax. Wouldn't you?

Driver in idling car arrested for DUI
Seems like the engine would have to be running to me, what if he just got in, turned on the radio and planned on sleeping it off for awhile?

Man dies from injuries in motorcycle accident
I agree that was a very odd choice for a roundabout location due to the boat trailers and rv's going through to the lake.
