Lawrence man travels state informing Kansans about Affordable Care Act

16 myths about healthcare. law....Wait, what!!!

Congress is NOT exempt for Obamacare!!!!! But.....but......but....Lynn Jenkins told me personally that congress was exempt, well, okay not personally, but she did say it in one of those conference calls that I am routinely invited to participate in. And Lynn Jenkins wouldn't lie! Well, she didn't bother to correct a woman who thought that Obamacare would mean she was only going to be eligible for palliative care. But that's not lying. Lynn Jenkins is grrreat!!!

There was that time she said she was proud to be from the "party of NO". But doesn't mean she is an obstructionist.

There was also that time when she said they were looking for the next great white hope. But that doesn't mean she is either woefully ignorant about that particular historical reference or just plain racist. Lynn Jenkins is grrreat!!!

Of course, there is that voting against the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act thing and the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization and Expansion, and the Hate Crime Expansion. But that's just rumor and conjecture. She wouldn't do that......she's grrreat!!!

Yes, this is sarcasm. And no, I am not calling Ms. Jenkins a racist. Read the sentence again, people. I actually prefer the former explanation. It accounts for so much more of her behavior.

Opinion: Just think about Ted Cruz for a minute

It never ceases to amaze me how little Americans know about their own country, not to mention their neighbor to the North.

A. tolawdjk is correct - Canadian is not a race, it is a nationality.

B. tomatogrower is incorrect - there is no such thing as being a fraction of an American as this too is a nationality and not a race. You either are an American citizen, or you are not. (Note: You can have more than one nationality but this does not make you half and half). If you are born in the US, are are an American citizen, regardless of your parents' nationality. If you were born abroad and have at least one parent who is an American citizen and meets certain other requirements, your parent can apply for you to become an American citizen (acquired citizenship) at birth, or you can apply yourself if were under 18 from 12/24/52 to 2/27/01, but again certain requirements must be met.

The US Citizen and Immigration Services website has all the information.

C. I agree with appleaday - Brilliant article!

Bill would allow open carry of firearms in the Kansas Statehouse, according to a Lawrence legislator; measures now go to Senate

And before the inevitable outcry by some of the resident idiots on this forum occurs, my comment was sarcastic.....One would think this would be painfully obvious, but this IS Kansas, after all.

My thoughts exactly, voevoda. Let's all walk around with guns slung over our shoulder. Somebody call LaPierre and get him to demand open carry for all.

Gun bill sponsor rebuffs legal concerns

I considered the possibility that Lynn371 was distorting the truth but since I couldn't prove it with undeniable fact, I chose to respond with facts that I could prove. I know, I know, it's not really a popular way of doing things these days....I guess I'm just old-fashioned.

Gun bill sponsor rebuffs legal concerns

It is a well known fact that Viagra is used to treat pulminary arterial hypertension. And I don't care what you say...lucky_guy's line is still one of funniest things I've heard in a while.
