Divorces for Dec. 8

I have made the same comment on here years ago about the bankruptcies. Bad things happen to good people, and it is hard enough to go through it without it being in the newspaper for everyone to see. :(

TV options abound for cord-cutters, old-school and newfangled alike

We don't watch the sports stations, but have to pay for them, so that is very frustrating. Cable is getting so ridiculous in price. Think we will check on the antennas. Thanks for the information.

Lawhorn's Lawrence: In line for food

I volunteered at Just Food very briefly before I started having issues with my health and could not help them out anymore. I had heard some stories too. Just because they drive a newer car does not mean it is theirs. They may be borrowing it from a friend or relative to be able to get out and apply for a job. If they have a nice phone, it could be someone is paying for it for them so they have a number they can be reached to accept a job interview. Please don't judge people. You don't know their life story and haven't walked in their shoes.

Should teachers be able to deny recess as way to discipline children?

They don't take away the entire recess. They still have time to run and play and exercise.
