Cyclist suffers critical injuries after being struck by SUV
Since I've moved back I have developed a "little old lady' driving habit. Start slow, check every mirror, drive slow, alway allowing a merge in, putt putt. So if you see me, don't honk at me. Im trying to be safe for me and those around me. Especially on the one way traffic ways. I'm the one doing the speed limit while other cars fly around me and look annoyed. yeah im that car.
Even at the speed limits i have been swooped by all kinds of vehicles, 2 and 4 wheels. But I am very glad i usually see them first. I try to give 2 wheels units plenty of room to safely manuever
My heart and prayers to this young cyclist for a recovery.

Kansas Highway Patrol investigates whether drugs contributed to double-fatality Saturday afternoon on K-10
I agree with lawdog, can we please just focus on the grieving families right now and not try to sensationalize the tragedy with OMG he could have been high on pot? If Ryan was impaired, illegally driving, texting, sleeping or whatever, will it bring him or Cainon back or set either family right again? No.
My heart goes out to both families, I cannot imagine what pain they are bearing right now. I see the young people who are friends of both families and they are devastated. I don't even think "devastated" is a big enough word. The surviving families have too much to bear now and for the rest of their lives without our ranting and raving about legalese right now. Does anyone know what happened to his dog that was riding with him? He's undergone surgery and will survive. A beautiful dog that now needs a home.

What do you spend the most money on for Thanksgiving?
turkey is always on sale for 99lb or less, seems to me i spend more money on the stuff to make pies than anything else, except maybe the drinks! Fam doesn't want pies from a box, they want the home made pumpkin, chocolate, and blueberry pies. Wears me out!
