Brownback's rejection of health insurance grant continues to spur questions
Which would mean 'bamacare is fractionally unconstitutional. Which would mean the entire package of legislation is worthless.

Brownback's rejection of health insurance grant continues to spur questions
Wow, fido, congratulations on catching the mildest of gaffes. you are so, so much smarter than the governor.
liberals and/or whiners: get used to brownback - he'll have a second term, and he'll enjoy a majority of state legislators backing him throughout both terms. he gets to do whatever he wants, whether you like it or not.

New Ninth and New Hampshire building a sun-blocker for coffee shops
i wipe my nose at the slumlords who take advantage of KU students by raping them pricewise in the tenn. and kent. ghettos; the snotty, snorting, dirty hippie commune that is the cadre of 'local business owners' of downtown lawrence; and, of course, the legion of zombies that perpetuate said ghetto and twilight zone by flushing the bowels of their wallets down both of these ever-hungry toilets.
the bizzaro fantasy land that is east lawrence. may the boars and sows of the pig grow pale from lack of sunlight forever!

i seem to have hit a nerve with you, parrot. you will observe in my second comment that i mentioned imagining the scenario. i retract my insinuating Z's as "trashy" (decent roasts) - but the pig can rot, as can its clientele.

New Ninth and New Hampshire building a sun-blocker for coffee shops
i can just imagine the wannabe socialist, hipster, 20-30 something adolescent man-babies and their female counterparts yelling and screaming at the construction workers and electricians that were building 9th and NH. where's the "solidarity" with the blue-collars trying to stay afloat? why can't your illuminated, superior intellectual faculties find something more substantial to focus on?

Lawrence version of Occupy Wall Street protest springs up
"ll you know if it what you heard on Fox News or CNN."
if i am deciphering you (and the "movement" you are sympathizing with) correctly, any source of corporate news is illegitimate, the propaganda arm of the corporate oligarchy.
i take issue with the 24/7 cable news media drones. but personally, i don't see any benefit in an imprecise, uninformed, aimless, and anarchic crowd of aging hippies and lazy 20 somethings chanting vague slogans and operating under a 'protest for protest's sake' mentality.
obstructionism is a pathetic, toxic replacement for a focused, substantive platform (oh, but that would require actual work to coordinate). the bulk of the people protesting are too lazy and uninformed to improvise organizationally on the spot.
what will you say when this extreme continuation of the empty 'hope & change' rhetoric dies on the vine?
