Class ring racket

I couldn't believe they did this either. It should stop at a brochure, and kids should receive info on alternatives to Jostens rings in the same way.

Forgive loans

Comparing 1960 tuitions with today's and adjusting for C.O.L. shows a hugely disproportionate rise in the cost of higher education. Not sure why people are against government helping to bring the cost down for kids to go to school while we pay millions is subsidies to oil companies every year. Priorities are all screwed up in this country.

God’s way

If God created people who feel like they're not in the right body and God also just happened to create doctors and medical means to fix that then what's the problem?

Lack of use takes a toll on South Lawrence Trafficway bridge

What does this article tell us?
1. KDOT built a bridge knowing full well it might not be used
2. KDOT decided after building said bridge that it would not maintain that bridge unless it was used.
3. KDOT finds that said bridge is deteriorating faster than other bridges because they are not maintaining the bridge to no where.
4. The article doesn't tell us how much KDOT spent to reach this dastardly brilliant conclusion.
Sounds bat poop crazy to me.

I saw someone from one of those critter companies trap a raccoon in east Lawrence, then put the trap

FYI: New animal control business based out of Lawrence called T & E Wildlife Control. They humanely trap relocate all nuisance animals, unless they are symptomatic of diseases, of course. The phone number is (785) 424-0965, email and they are licensed and have permission to relocate at Clinton Lake. He said they will do raccoons, skunks, beavers, opossums, snakes, and everything in between. The gentleman in charge of the business is starting out only part time so he wouldn't be able to do any trapping until after 4pm, but would be able to take leave from work in emergency cases. He is also willing to go outside of Lawrence for an additional fee. He charges $60 for assessment and setting up the trap, then $30 for every animal trapped. (Critter Control charges $120 with an additional $30 for each animal trapped.)

I'm an ex-wildlife rehabber, and NO, it is not cool to kill a raccoon with car exhaust. I'd like to know what company did this.
