Possible covered wagon wheel discovered in Kansas River east of Second Street

Looks like a Roy Rogers garage sale wagon wheel coffee table to me.

Krause Dining to end cooking run

I give "Fuego" six months. The Krauses are going to run out of friends.

Krause and his wife, Molly, just don’t have the time, nor commitment, to keep up with their self-imposed standards for serving seven-course meals at $80 a plate for as many as 30 customers five nights a week.

Now, change it to...

Round Corner building awaits new restaurant

Mr Shades, I have nothing against Robert. I've never met him.

I find it a bit bourgeoisie that "internationally known chefs" take the common fare of common people and make it "gourmet", charge you out the a$$ for it and tell you you don't know what you're talking about when you don't find it to your liking.

And I'm not being a bit hostile towards Robert. Hostility is a form of angry internal rejection or denial in psychology. It is a part of personal construct psychology, developed by George Kelly.

I found it an above average Juvenalian satirical piece. Named after the Roman satirist Juvenal, this type of satire is far darker. Unlike Horatian satire, Juvenalian satire seeks to correct immediately some evil in society through scorn, outrage, and savage ridicule. Common traits of this form are irony, sarcasm, moral indignation and often completely lacking humour (but I found it funny=]). This form is very pessimistic in tone.

I'm just saying...

And another thing, hamburgers are not gourmet. They are blue collar: The Smoke Burger: a grilled beef patty covered with a slice of smoked gouda, apple wood-smoked bacon and a splash of house-made chipotle-cocoa ketchup. J. Wellington Wimpy is rolling over in his grave.

Robert Krause's next venture will be Humpty Dumpty's. Gourmet eggs over easy. Serving ornithological embryos and hash browns sauted in pineapple infused vodka and seasoned with Szechuan peppercorns.

“The place will be super casual,” Krause said. “I would say that it’s leaning towards a version of the way I cook — which is not necessarily any one thing, but it has a leaning towards Szechuan peppercorn pineapple infused vodka Latin American, Spanish cooking.

You heard it here first...

He sees the bar serving homemade margaritas and other drinks with tequila, rum and pineapple-infused vodka.

Pineapple-infused vodka: now we know the place is going to be a hit. Everyone knows bars make it or break it by being able to corner the pineapple-infused vodka drink market.

This place is going to be another overpriced taco stand. They ought to tear it down and put a tamale cart there.

Rethinking downtown: Commissioner’s ideas for Mass. Street go well beyond business as usual

Anyone who grew up in Kansas City, Kansas that can remember shopping on Minnesota Ave. before and after they put in a pedestrian mall will tell you this is a very stupid idea.

Leave it alone.

But, think of the economic boost this could be to downtown engineering firms.

World sees Obama as weak

Mr_Nancy_Boy_To_You (Tom Shewmon) says…

How many Obama “fluff” stories about the economy have we had to suffer through over the past weeks and months...blah, blah, blah...But again, I query, when will, A. Obama take ownership, and B. When will the compliant Obama media start reporting truthfully?...

We have taken ownership. Just like the last time a Dem was in office, when we had a budget surplus, and Alan Greenspan cautioned us to not pay off our debts too quickly...remember? Nancy Girl to Me

The Myth of Free Health Care for All

If we use government employees the costs might actually increase as many studies show that over the long haul government employees are more expensive then private employees.

Not a true statement. Government employees at all levels earn less than their private sector counterparts. And administrative costs are lower for Medicare than private insurance.
