Where are the thoughtful conservatives?

tunahelper (Anonymous) says:obama bin ladin is the most corrupt leftist liberal in the US Senate. he will raise taxes, give in to all the enviro-whackos, gas will be $15 a gallon. what a tard!Since you are against raising taxes, I assume you are against the war which is digging the biggest debt hole ever. If you are in favor of the war (since you sound supportive of the present administration), you should be willing to pay for it. The federal government's debt is your debt and my debt. It must be paid through taxes. You can't have a war and cut taxes. It's the most irresponsible, immature disgusting act. And Bush is leaving the mess to be cleaned up by someone else, because he hasn't the guts to do what needs to be done. The uneducated bozo in this video yells about "talking from strength", but this is the weakest president in our history.

Bus ideas

All of those wonderful ideas mentioned here haven't been tried, because many leaders in this community want the system to fail.

'American Idol' falls out of tune

I do believe she has a right to voice her opinion, and she did it in a very funny creative way. Just because you're addicted to the show doesn't mean others are. And don't worry, she doesn't have the influence to get the show cancelled.

Food stamp recipients pinched by high food prices

I think one of the things that the people on food stamp needs is a class to teach them where to shop and what to buy. How can anyone live on soda pop and chips and cookies? Maybe they are cheaper but you die sooner if you keep eating those, this might be just the solution for them not have to worry about run out of food stamp each month. They use to have a program like that when they also had commodity cheese. A friend of mine did that. They also did nutrition education in the elementary schools. The funding was cut during the Reagan years.

Battery on Mass. St. targets 58-year-old

andiniIf the girl was 16, she should be in high school, and they don't have early release, so she was probably skipping. Of course, she could have been held back and still in middle school. It sounds like she has all the wrong priorities.

GOP cool to global warming

vpete69Obviously you have no children, and definitely no grandchildren. I am not working to "save the planet". All humans could die tomorrow and the planet will just go on. I am working to give my descendants a chance for survival. If and when you have children, you will feel different, maybe. Some people are just really self centered and short sighted.

Movie ratings

Isabelle,These ratings aren't whether or not adults like the movies, it's whether or not they think it's appropriate for children to see it. A PG rating just lets a parent know that they should make sure the content won't be disturbing to their child. Some movies might be ok for some kids, but give others nightmares. It's the ultimate decision of your parent to decide which movies are best suited for you. The ratings just give them a guide to help them.

It means Liberty Hall doesn't often place announcements with them.
