Douglas County towing regulations ‘need to be fixed,’ administrator says

The tow companies in town charge a different rate for a non preference than they do if you call it in yourself. Most of the time it's cheaper to call yourself then to have the police/sheriff department call for you. Even if it's the same tow company.

And again, how long ago was this. Times they are a'changin'. Get out of the dark ages of the past and attempt to move forward into the light of the present and future. For this topic and others you enjoy ranting about.

Bank starts foreclosure proceedings against Douglas County Sheriff Ken McGovern's home

Someone's private business is their own. It shouldn't matter or be necessary to publicize marriage licenses, divorce grants, etc. Pay for something to be advertised if you want it published. My business is not yours and the thought goes both ways.

LifeStar helicopter called to scene of shooting in 800 block of Randall Road

Isn't it still against FCC regulations to report 'radio traffic' as fact? Last time I checked you have to have actual confirmation from a reliable source such as someone on scene or in charge that can provide that information.

Back on topic-hope the individual will be okay.

911 recording system to receive upgrade

one2no-If you were working six days a week, twelve hour shifts, and no vacation I think you would be a little tired and irritated with people on the phone too. That's a light schedule for some of the dispatchers. A new recording system isn't going to help. Get some people in there who can do the job so the lives of the citizens, EMT's, fireman, and PD aren't in more danger then they already are.

Man transported via helicopter after single-vehicle accident

I was talking about the wording of the article not the fact that a one vehicle accident couldn't happen.

Man transported via helicopter after single-vehicle accident

How can your truck just all of the sudden veer off into a ditch with no provocation?
