Schmidt Builders executive faces federal fraud charges in $15M loan from Lawrence bank
This was a 40 year old company that would still be in business except for the fact that Mr Duncan ruined it. This was a 40 million dollar company in 2004. There was alot of crooked stuff he did and I think he should get a year in prison for each employee that lost their job because of his greed & poor mangement.

City now strongly considering adding glass to proposed curbside recycling program
If one jar takes a million years to break down and a million people throw 1 jar away a week or month, it can add up quickly and stay there for along time.

City now strongly considering adding glass to proposed curbside recycling program
I started to recycle my glass a couple years ago after I found out how many years it takes to break down in a landfill. 1 MILLION YEARS. If that means hauling it to a recycle place and doing that for the future of my kids & grandkids then I will continue to do it. I think it should be free or very affordable and made easier to recycle so that everyone can recycle. I also think alot of people are not aware of the environmental factor and this should be very important for everyone to do. I was unaware until recently that it takes...
200-500 years for aluminum cans
250 years for plastic cups
30-40 years for nylon fabric
10-20 years for plastic trash bags
5 years for plastic cups

KU student organizing marrow donor drive in honor of husband with lymphoma
The way I understand it there is no cost to be tested today.
The fund raising money is to help register donors on the registry list.
The test is a painless swab of the mouth.
There is more information in the article and the story is also in the KU paper today.

KU student organizing marrow donor drive in honor of husband with lymphoma
Since I am a cancer survivor (1992) & past the age limit I donated money to help.
I wish I was able to be the Match and do something as wonderful to help someone else.
I wish everyone could take the time to be tested and see how important this is.
I challenge everyone to make this one of you acts of kindness this year!
Please take the time!

Authorities respond to multiple injury crash at 19th and Iowa
I wish the comments were screened and all the stupid people who think they are better than others could not post their trivial opinions. If you want to argue do it somewhere else.
I would like to see comments related to the news, not the spelling errors and childish comments. So you can spell.......boring comments.
