the bible creation story is exactly that; a story
the world did not start there and anyone who truly buys that it did is ignorant of reality
the new testament stories or parables are also mostly borrowed from Greek and Roman stories adapted to fit his agenda
Does that make them wrong or false? In the creation story it does make it false. In jesus' parables you look at the philosophical and spiritual points that come out of the story the story itself is secondary
Also look at the original Greek in the new testament and paul does not say he speaks for god but is merely offering his opinions on how he interprets things which has become a lot of the basis for christian intolerance of others
beware of the idiot who can quote parts of the bible to fit their argument but pause when asked what the principle is behind it. people use the book as a weapon to fit their needs but if Adam and Eve were the first two and we all came from them then we all are married to a relative. UH oh but then again it is not a true story so do not worry about it.
read the bible as what it is a spiritual and philosophical guide and not as anything literal
