Baldwin City woman reports stolen bank bag contating $5,400 in cash and checks

What a dummy. Leaving that kind of cash around, she must not have needed it that badly. Common sense when handling money and she must not have been gifted enough to have it.

Lawmakers, districts worry about school meal costs

Isnt this a bunch of crap. Obama has to stick his nose in everything. The schools have faced major cuts in the budget for several years now and Obama has the nerve to try and change the lunch menu... What is he thinking? Maybe more budget cuts in Washington than that money could come back to our schools. So much for Obama standing behind the education of our children. He would rather make demands on school lunches knowing its going to cost more than worry about our childrens education. What a double standard.

Kiwanis Club bestows Substantial Citizen Award on retired judge

Congratulations NOT. Judge Shepard wasnt a fair Judge, she wasnt willing to listen to both parties. She would take the states side no matter what. If you ended up in her court you was doomed from the first step into her court room. Im glad she is gone and maybe now a Judge will listen to both sides before making a decision. Your right the community is blessed. Blessed to have her away from being a Judge. I seen her take children from a parent on false accussations from Social Services too many times to say anything nice about her. Good Riddens

Brownback criticized for signing abortion bill that opponents say will hurt women who get impregnated after being raped

Crazy. A rape victim should be able to have an abortion. Brownback is corrupt. Sure hope one of his children or grandchildren doesnt get raped. Oh Brownback would prolly take his family member to abortion clinic in another state. I say get Brownback out of office.
