Conservatives preparing constitutional amendment to thwart school finance ruling
Exactly! If legislators gave a crap about education, they would pass a bill stating that classes will only have "x" number of students. Whether that number is 20 or 18 or whatever. Then they would fund what it takes to hire the appropriate number of teachers to meet that requirement.

I would like to ask each legislator this question. If the courts had ruled that funding was adequate the way it is now, would you still be trying to change the Constitution?

Statehouse Live: Bill to repeal in-state tuition for undocumented students introduced in committee
Exactly. Something that affects a whopping 600 people should take top priority over something stupid like say our state budget. Here's betting they go past the 90 days again.

Brownback plans to transfer highway funds to schools, merge Kansas Turnpike Authority raise questions

Do you agree with a Kansas court's ruling that the Legislature is not suitably funding schools?
This poll shows an overwhelmingly percentage of people agreeing that our Legislature, OUR ELECTED LEGISLATORS, are not suitably funding schools. Please don't rely on a poll to sway those people we've put in office. CALL your representative, email your representative, text your representative, and tell them to fund our schools!
