Well I personally am NOT a homeowner, I rent, so please do not assume I am an elitist. That is how I took that comment. The city is providing a service to us for a very minimal price and rather than have the smelly recycling my garage, I am lucky enough to have a place that is concealed from the street on the side of my house. I should not have to apologize for that.

Oh and I don't put my trashcans in my garage, I put them on the side of my house. Then I don't have to worry about the room it takes up.

I like the proposal, but also feel that the containers will be too large. The other thing I worry about is the Wal-Mart recycling center. They do good work with people in the community (Cottonwood I think?) and I really like their system. I do however like the convenience of curbside recycling. I guess I'm kind of conflicted...

chemmom, I also am a teacher and I could not have said it better than you did. I agree with ATR920. You should send that to everyone in the legislature.

Statehouse Live: Battle begins in House over public unions
I'm a teacher and a union member and I was never pressured to join. Union membership is voluntary. Why so they feel the need to protect us from ourselves? They don't. They don't like that we aren't silent on issues that affect us and/or our students.

Just FYI for those that are saying to listen to the radio online, unless you subscribe to the package they mention, the radio broadcasts are always blacked out online. You can't stream them from the regular radio station.

Who are these Roger and Elizabeth Currier folks who bought the strip mall that houses Conroy's Pub? Do they own other commercial properties?

No arrest made after student walks into area high school with a stock of gun
And YES, I DO know about guns, DO know how to shoot them, and DON'T have a problem with law enforcement at all. I care about keeping kids safe.

How about you all read that the story was JUST updated. It did NOT say that before. It said that it was a shotgun. Didn't say the barrel. Don't make me out to be ignorant when you all can't read the updates on times of a story and the time of my comment.
