Pet Peeves

People who go to gas stations and spend 10 mins standing at the counter scratching lotto tickets while there is a line out the door of people waiting to buy something.

People who insist on writing checks at the store, we all know you have a debit card, use it! Save your checks for paying bills.

Having the food you ordered at a fast food place shoved in your face the second after they hand you the change, I do need a second or two to put that change in my pockets thank you.

People who think stopping at a stop sign/red light is just an option.

Long high speed chase ends near Kansas Highway 7

I was at the initial scene going east on 19th just crossed Naismith; here's what I saw:

Traffic was clogged near the street next to the Naismith Towers. I didn't have a clear view but as there were three cars before me. What was interesting is the cars involved in the accident had a cop car right in front of them. He noticed something happened and I noticed that the car who ran for it turned his wheels and the reflection caught my eye. He was able to pull a U on 19th and the cop noticed. He gunned it and the cop was following him on 19th. I lost sight of them as they went through 19th/Haskell.

Quite an event for what was a trivial fender bender. As I drove by the cars looked fine. I'm guessing no license and/or insurance.

Saw the guy being chased west bound on 32 where 24/40 and 32 come together on my way out to Bonner. I'd guess meth may have been involved by the way he looked as well as license and insurance. Damn stupid no matter what the reason was.

Are you planning to do something to commemorate Earth Day on April 22?

autie (Anonymous) says…

Same thing we do every year for earth day. Go north and club a baby seal. Then cut it open and eat the raw liver.

Autie, if you bring the seal liver, I'll bring the sea kitten.

Police arrest man after incident outside Club Axis

ocean (Anonymous) says…

enough handguns at this bar!

we have heard previous stories that within the bar there are up to five doormen with guns. why?

because one of the staff about 18 months ago told us that
the customers carry large amounts of cash. think about it.

can you say 'drug deal venue'.

_____________________________

Don't know where you got your info from, but the security does not carry guns at Axis. I know 3 guys who work/have worked there. If anyone does I would bet the owner does. I'd be happy to ask and find out.

Pirate rules

Jersey_Girl (Anonymous) says…

In the second paragraph, the writer says the pirates are not yet some modern day Robin Hoods, yet in the very next paragraph, he writes “In fact, the pirates have become heroes in Somalia, where they support the nation’s economy with their ill-gotten gains.” isn't that the definition of a Robin Hood?
