No population bounce here

That's right, keep bashing Topeka. If only Topekans wouldn't come to Lawrence there would be no crime. Your attitude really is paying off.

Lawrence cell phone ban would be strictest

So the Patriot Act is bad because it restricts personal freedom, but everything else is fair game. These "progressives" want all the benefits that come from living in a college town with none of the side effects. Keep it up morons. While you deal with cell phone bans and Dadaism, your town's housing costs keep rising and people have to commute longer for a decent paying job. More people will keep moving to SE Shawnee County where I live and increase my property value.

City may adjust Sixth Street speeds

Its not my logic. There have been a lot of studies that prove this fact. If you're simply widening congested roadways with the idea you'll get rid of congestion, that's naive.

City may adjust Sixth Street speeds

This is as worthless as adding lanes to a highway. People think it eases traffic, but within a few years the volume increases to offset the additional lanes.

City hears ideas for downtown safety

It's amazing it took this long for Lawrence to issue my town an apology. It is a no brainer that you don't alienate a metro area with a population of 160,000 people that's less than 20 minutes away.

City hears ideas for downtown safety

Why doesn't someone just start throwing out some ridiculous stats like the idiot who owns Abe and Jake's did. In his "scientific" opinion 65 percent of all serious crime in the last 10 years has been committed by Topeka residents. That is just amazing. You have to believe him too, since he did a lot of research to come up with that number.

City hears ideas for downtown safety

If it makes you feel good to blame others for your problems then go ahead. A lot of Lawrence residents seem to think that their town will be some sort of utopia if only all the "outsiders" would leave. We want your money during the day, but then we want you to leave. For being such an progressive city there sure are a lot of individuals who love to stereotype entire communities.

Is downtown's nightlife a boon or headache?

Actually I'm a 3rd generation Alumnus, so back off. I do not support most of what the current City Government does. However, unlike you, I do not believe in eminent domain unless it is a truly dire situation.

Thanks for clearing that up Marion. I had no idea all those businesses that declared Bankruptcy were really doing so because they made a huge profit.

Don't project your life on me pal. I went to KU and have a good job for someone my age and actually have friends. Your comments make absolutely no sense. What exactly is a cntimeter? You are a grown man and you can't even spell correctly.
