About 100 Douglas County Westar Energy customers still without power
I had power all day... Until 30 minutes ago. 6th and Kasold.

Small Claims Court of Douglas County often full of surprises
"The judge also can issue a bench warrant for a defendant, if the defendant continually refuses to pay."
Really? How does a person go about getting this done? I'd like to see my money sometime. I guess it's currently accruing much higher interest than any savings account I could find.

Light offenders
How about fixing the current stoplights to make them work appropriately? Then I'll stop ignoring them completely.
I'm looking at you, the menaces along 6th street between Kasold and the bypass. You suck. I think you are unconstitutional.

Manage schools
The angst would be better directed at legislators. Schools have said for years that they need to be better funded. For years, they have worked within their budgets. Today, the community begins to feel the pain. This is a wake-up call. Write your legislators.

Traffic lights restored to working order at 6th and Iowa
So much to agree with!
1) Yes, traffic was flowing better at 6th & Iowa with Stop Signs (granted, a Sunday afternoon) than I've ever seen during daylight hours.
2) The stoplights west of Wakarusa on 6th street are a complete and total joke. Write your commissioners. I have, and was promised that they'd "take a look." That was 4 months ago.
