Brownback proposes using bioscience funds to pay for adult stem cell center at KU
I propose that we work to merge the Kansas Turnpike Authority/DOT with the Kansas Bioscience Authority in order to pave the way for a more fluid flow of money to the chosen few of the state. Who cares what the money was first intended for. It’s the church of the here and now that is calling.

Senate advances cut to Earned Income Tax Credit to help homestead property tax refund program
Remember the Secretary of State’s “self deportation” campaign for illegals. I hate to say it, but it seems as though the leadership of the Kansas legislature and the entire administrative branch of the government of the state has now adopted the theory of “self deportation” as their driving force in all things Kansas. Want to seriously reduce any social or medical care spending? Just make is extremely difficult for anyone in need to live in Kansas. Just run them out as soon as possible. Kind of a sorry state of affairs, so to speak.

KU student pushing for smoking ban on campus
Was once a heavy smoker but got tired of the hassle and the expense. In any event, I am just wondering who would run a 2 liter engine at 2000 rpm for only one minute? When such comparisons are made are we talking about theoretical results or reality?

House committee approves bill that supporters say will protect Kansas gun rights
Arresting Federal Law Enforcement Officers? A prelude to insurrection? Just wondering.

KBI arrests Franklin County sheriff and deputy on obstruction of justice charges
I suspect the two were arrested when they were both wearing their uniforms. And cops taking the picture still being cops, did not want to “disgrace the uniform” with a mug shot. Go figure.

Statehouse Live: Fight over taxpayer-financed lobbying ensues
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
"The people have the right to assemble, in a peaceable manner, to consult for their common good, to instruct their representatives, and to petition the government, or any department thereof, for redress of grievances."
Does anyone in Topeka have any idea where these "radical" statements are written. . . Just wondering. . .

Statehouse Live: Bill would require KU to play Wichita State University in basketball
Just as I suspected. The clowns in the legislature have absolutely nothing to do. Nobody has sent them their program for the week, apparently. They ought to be ashamed to cash their pay checks.

Plans advance for School of Business building, `Rules of Basket Ball' museum, razing McCollum
All I want is the eastern most screen off of the windows of the last room on the south side of the 8th floor of McCullum. I don't know how many times that screen was removed so that others residing in the building (and else where) could throw Salvo tablets into the top of the water cooling system for the air conditioners that were directly below that window. What a mess of bubbles. Then the campus cops would once again interrogate all who lived within one floor of that window. It was the same summer that all of the fountains on campus were shut down and drained because of Salvo tablets. Forty-five plus years ago. (For the younger people - Salvo tables consisted of compressed laundry detergent about the size of a hocky puck. Apparently handy for a number of purposes.) (Also, in case you are wondering - the statute of limitations has long since pasted.)

Kansas Chamber of Commerce hires retiring House Speaker Mike O'Neal as its new president and CEO
Now, Now, O'Neal bought that job with our tax money fair and square. You leave him alone. He has always had to carry water for rich folk and pay them off with money that was not his own, and it probably bothers him as much and anyone . Poor little waif from Reno. (HoHoHo)

Brownback brushes up story supporting tax cuts
They want the State to go banckrupt so they can reshape it to their liking. They simply do not care who or how many they hurt in the process as it will benefit them....!
