City commissioner unexpectedly raises issue of Lawrence drinking water fluoridation
Fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous Communist plot we have ever had to face. I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.
(For any of you young'uns who don't recognize that, those are lines from Dr. Strangelove. Which is a movie you must see.)

Kansas DUI Commission weighing a “lifetime look back” for repeat offenders
Karen Wittman doesn't work for the Shawnee County DA anymore, does she? I'm pretty sure she's at the AG's office or maybe KHP.

Obama’s changes may not be what voters bargained for
It's embarrassing that a good newspaper in a modern city continues to print the rantings of a caveman every week. Sorry, Mr. Simons, but America has passed you by and is now in the 21st century.

Sloppy? Are you serious, KeithMiles05? The Journal-World has the well-deserved reputation of being one of the best edited newspapers in the country. Have you ever seen any other papers? You'll find mistakes more often in the Wichita Eagle, the Kansas City Star, or even the New York Times than you will in the Journal-World.And when have you ever seen a mistake in a 1A headline in the Journal-World before? It happens at all newspapers, but it happens less often in the Journal-World than in just about any other paper you'll ever see.The surprise of seeing a mistake in the Journal-World is a good reminder of just how great their staff is on a daily basis.
