Plano sophomore Zach Peters picks Kansas

That's pretty big for a 3. He must be very very athletic and agile. Maybe he has the ball handling skills to be a guard? A 6'9 PG would be nice.

iPedaling the iPad

There were actually other versions of mp3 players on the market when Apple introduced the iPod, but the marketing approach, the simple interface and the iTunes Store allowed them to capture nearly all of the market. Then, they stayed ahead of the competition with more capacity, video and then the iTouch.
I really think the iPad will evolve into a more diverse device as others enter the fray. But the lack of camera capabilities is going to hurt them in the short run.

iPedaling the iPad

I too was highly anticipating the iPad. I was hoping to replace my aging Mac PowerBook that is primarily used for surfing. But, we Skype often with the kids and grand kids and there is no camera and no way to dock one. Oh well, maybe the next version. Or, wait about 3 months for Dells version that will us the Android OS. Google ( a larger Nexus version) and HP's Slate are all due out with in the next few months.

Parkinson vetoes proposed changes to Kansas abortion laws

You're assuming the woman (prostitute) is a willing participant. With over 30 years of social work, I can assure you that most prostitution is little more than human bondage.

Tea party supporters rally for lower taxes, smaller government

Well, they could have it at a local park, or a school auditorium, or on a downtown sidewalk or a large farm, or...wait a minute, those are tax supported places as well.

Tea party supporters rally for lower taxes, smaller government

Just a few minor comments.
The Tea Party is nothing more than a far right agenda to strengthen its dwindling base. In fact I guarantee if you walk around the festivities this weekend and tried to engage those attending on tax theory economics, they wouldn't have a clue.
It is splitting the Republican Party even further. (That could be good or bad news)
There are racial motivations. Those who disagree with the President only because he black. I doubt you'll see many gays/Jews/feminists/Latinos there as well.
It is an exploitation of frustrated, desperate, and susceptible people.

BTW, for $10 a month, you can be a Tea Party Patriot. Dale Robertson is going to make a fortune off this.

Douglas County sheriff's deputies plan increased patrols this weekend

What? If there are no paychecks, there are no deputies and no one gets pulled over or apprehended for any crime. I'm sure you and your anarchist buddies would love that.
