Dear government please stay out of my bedroom and return to the jobs you are elected to do. Thanks.

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback signs Kris Kobach's bill requiring photo ID at polls

I have to show photo ID to go to the fricken doctor, I don't think having to show it to vote is that far of a stretch....

For Douglas County EMT who died Monday, service to others ranked above all else

I also did not know Chief Master Sergeant Smith but I wish that I had. He sounds like an amazing man and a model for the rest of us to follow.

Young turkey hunters invited to annual event

This is a great program. I can't wait till my son's get old enough to start taking out. People are so far removed from where their food comes from in this day and age it's sad.

If anyone is interested in getting their kids out for this event and are short on gear or experience please message me here and I'll see what I can do to help out.

Budget cuts could mean more feral hogs in Kansas

I have to agree with the first poster. Open the seasons back up and let us work on the population before it gets out of control. Also major penalties for transplanting hogs need to be put into place. The damage these pigs can do is massive.

Town Talk: Caterer worries about unfair competition from City Hall; Masonic Temple building under consideration; Santa Fe Depot update

525 bucks is a steal. I see that being a good source of income for the City. I also see it being more in the $800 - $1000 range. Being able to bring your own food is a great benefit to people wanting to rent the space also. When I got married a few years ago we used a Johnson County property and it worked out great. The required off duty officer (since we had alcohol) didn't even mess with us.
