on a government/public official or employee." Makes no difference if it was the officer issuing the ticket, a clerk or a judge. It is bribery!

That is the way it used to be. In these economic times, not so much. There are lots of people out there without jobs that can replace most people at a lower rate of pay.

Not true; employees have to pay for spouses and children. Often times it costs less to insure under each person's own plan.

I am not sure I see the connection between a cannon fired at Lawrence during a conflict and said cannon being fired during celebrations. Now if the cannon had been used to successfully defend Lawrence it would be a different story.
