Lawrence man jumps in to help police officer subdue out-of-control suspect
Something was amiss. A simple Google Search for Sol shows a talented individual in many ways and with quite a good history. I hope what ever fueled this incident in his life is addressed, because from the looks of it this is a kid with a lot to loose.

January 23rd Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire Medical wrap-up
Thanks Mike at 7am I might as well been intoxicated as I was just waking up. I seen 2 MS4 codes in the police calls for the 48hr period I looked at. Does the units dispatched on those include fire also?

Knology customers report outages in west Lawrence
I've had problems myself in the Oread Neighborhood, had a tech out this morning and he had no clue what was wrong. I see Knoligy as the lesser of the two evils and better tech than UVerse (had it before and was 1100 ft from the VRAD and had an outage more than it worked) but would never get phone or tv through either but where I am at we can only get DSL and phone with Uverse but I would love for some better competition to come to town say from 30 miles east. I enjoy my 50mbps connection and pay about 50 less a month for that speed than with Time Warner or Cox but much rather pay the same for something that is about 750-900mbps. Was happy with Wicked (for price only) till unannounced they raised the prices a few months back for honestly in my opinion a subpar service to begin with.

MS4 otherwise known as a municipal separate storm sewer system
Is the separate sewer designed for storm run off. There is a police report attached to the incident and it does show 7 units dispatched. So I think it may have been enforcing this ordnance.

And oddly these are the types of calls some people can get very volatile over so who knows there may be a history of these types of calls with some sort of issue connected that they felt they needed to play it safe? I don't know but just a guess.
