Mayor invites Wal-Mart to submit new plan
It's not my fault.
I voted for Boog, Schauner and Moody.
I told you so. Now live with the sprawl and big box incursion.

Simons: Lawrence leaders need to restore city's positive momentum
Most people do not realize how much our communities' interests have been protected by Schauner, Boog and Rundle.
We've been saturated on the radio, newspaper and blogs by misleading information designed by developers, realtors and the chamber to allow them to take control of the city.
This will allow them sprawl at will and have a Wal-mart on every corner.

Simons: Lawrence leaders need to restore city's positive momentum
I got an idea.
Let's ask what new plans do Dever, Chesnut or Bush have to offer.
Guess what...they can't tell you becausce the developturds, realtors and the chamber haven't told them what to think yet.

Candidate survey explores potential projects

"that's why Lawrence will always be a small hick town"
That's better than an overdeveloped sprawling hick town.

Candidates see benefits from some cooperation
Schauner, Highberger and MM = pro-neighborhood.
Dever = pro-sprawl
Chestnut = pro-sprawl
Bush = pro-sprawl
Choose wisely.

Money rules
Take a pole. How many people actually know there is a very important city commission race?
If the majority of voters knew there was an election in April and if they actually were educated on who is pro-sprawl and who is pro-neighborhood then Schauner, Highberger and MM would win hands down.
But keeping Lawrence voters ignorant is exactly what the developers want.

Candidates split on parks, Chamber of Commerce support
GO LOGRITHMIC!!!!!!! GO BOZO!!!!!!!!!! NO JOKE...........YOU ARE ON A ROLE!!!!!!!!
People of this town need to realize that Dever, Chestnut and Bush, the developer lackys, are anti-neighborhood and pro-sprawl.
What will the picture of Lawrence be if/when D, C and B get elected? It will be unchecked sprawl of cookie cutter houses, streets which are not pedestrian friendly, unsafe for any of our kids to walk to parks which will be too far to walk to anyway, the horizon of Lawrence will be fast food signs and utility poles which the chamber will call bringing in business.
Anybody see "It's A Wonderful Life"? Seems like Ol Mr. Potter is really the collective of the chamber and the developers and realtors. Voting for Dever, Chestnut and Bush is voting anti-Lawrence.
Mark my words. This town needs Schauner, Highberger and MM so we have someone to run to besides "Potter".
