Opinion: Benghazi, IRS: Son of Watergate?
You can't prevent or control much of anything in the Middle East. Thinking you can is an error.

Opinion: Benghazi, IRS: Son of Watergate?
I am ticked off that the IRS would do what they did no matter how much I disagree with the Tea Party folks.
But in Benghazi, I see the Republicans trying to capitalize from this tradgedy. A quick military response was difficult because of available forces and distance. It also shows that the rescue response did in fact save others stationed there. Sadly not everyone.
It was a chaotic event during and after. Easy pickings to find fault if you are a partisan.

Dandelions
Dandelion obsession. Lawn obsession. Jeeze. Some people would rather nuke their lawns just to get rid of harmless dandelion. From what I see dandellions space out far enough that even if there are thousands of them, they will not choke out your grass. In fact, they even provide ground cover in areas where the grass might be thinner. The more greenage you got, the cooler your ground temperature will be and this can only help your overall lawn from getting dried up and vulnerable to the summer heat.
Them dandelions are the Rodney Dangerfield's of lawn. No respect. Oh forgot to mention...dandelions are considered by many to be a superfood. Healthy and also detoxifying. Good for your liver and kidney health. Just sayin.

Opinion: Newspapers might get better with Kochs

Opinion: Obama affirmed Bush’s anti-terror strategy
In my opinion the internet, FaceBook and Twiiter has done more to prevent terrorism than anything else. Since 9/11/01, kids have become more inclined to follow FaceBook than to listen and follow a crazy Jihadist who is hugging his machine gun in a cave somewhere in Pakistan or Afghanistan. Lets face it those guys are now old farts who are not as able to pass along there fueds to the younger generations. I say this is a good thing.
This is why sour Krauts opinion piece is meaningless, and sound like a Bush aplogist speech. I do think George Bush may have introduced some meaningful improvements to anti-terror intelligence. I give credit. But I do not think Iraq and Afghanistan has done much to stop terrorisim on US soil. If anything, it only created more enemies who with hope will not pass along this new feud. We totally destroyed the infrastructure of Iraq and created a state of even more chaos there. All on the US taxpayer's dime. Quit apalogizing for this Krauthammer.

Letter: Coach’s error
I believe KU played it like they should have. They were basically using up the clock when they had a10 point lead with about three minutes to play. 9 times out of 10 KU wins that game. Unfortunately, a lot of things went right for Michigan, and a lot went wrong for KU.
KU is a great program with excellent coaches and staff. EJ was filling in at point guard this season and is really a better 2 guard or small forward. Under the circumstances I tip my hat to him.

Police cite driver suspected in downtown accident with cyclists
Actually, I wish you were allowed to ride your bike on the sidewalks. It is much safer to ride your bike on the sidewalk on the busy streets like 23rd, 19th, 6th, Mass, etc. I do this at a slow safe speed. It is also safer for automobile motorists to not have to contend with bicycles. I would think that the police would not enforce this by ticketing bicyclist who use the sidewalks. One would think there are bigger fish to fry.

Opinion: KU's edge missing against Baylor
I think the Hawks have a real good team, are well coached and have a great opportunity to do well in the post-season. The only thing I see is that they are a little sluggish in the half court offense at times. But this is only because I have not watched as many games as I would have liked. I missed their spectacular games this season. Go Hawks.

Brownback administration pushes to repeal restrictions on corporate agriculture; opponents say family farms will suffer
Amazing how the Republicans get people to support them in spite of there best interests. They fear monger and try to convince you that Democrats are Socialists.
These big corporate factory farming conglomerates are governments in themselves. Monopolies is what they are and monopolies are just as bad (if not worse) than big government.
This is a strike against the little guy, the family farmers, and many Kansans. Lets hope we will begin to see past the (R) when we vote.
