Punishment puzzles brothers

School has no business meddling in family-approved matters that in no way endanger kids or disrupt the education of them and those they attend school with. This was blatant overreaching!

School board may subtract English as a Second Language program from closing equation

Competent superintendent = no need for future task forces. Until Doll goes, you'll see continued confusion, requests for task forces, demands to close schools and build new ones. Doll's history is not hard to find, what's happening here is just as he did at his prior employment!

School closings to still be addressed

How about this: fire Doll and hire a superintendent that is up to the job of gathering relevant information, appropriately advising the school board and making actual decisions? Why is this too much to ask? Why all the task forces? Does no one have the ability to gather useful information required by their job descriptions, or the spine to make a decision? Hiring Doll and closing Waky were, at best, ill advised. It's time to admit that, fire Doll, reopen Waky to address the present overcrowding issues and hire a superintendent that will assist the board in making some appropriate decisions about the future of this school district.

This is what, the third task force/parents group in less than 2 years? How about this: fire Doll and hire a superintendent that is up to the job of gathering information, appropriately advising the school board and making actual decisions? Why is this too much to ask?

School consolidation working group renews resolve for mission

I seem to recall that the idea to "consolidate Hillcrest and Sunset Hill at the Sunset Hill site" & "merge Kennedy and New York either at or near 15th and Haskell streets or at the Kennedy site" is the original solution Ms. Hack suggested during the last process. It is a wise suggestion. However, any solution that does not include closing Cordley is incomplete. It will ultimately cost so much to bring Cordley up to snuff that it'd be cheaper in the long run to crash it and build another school that will accomodate those students with Kennedy & New York! The only thing keep Cordley open is SONS, not logic or reason.
