I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is no such thing as a temporary sales tax; they always become permanent. That includes the "temporary" hikes Lawrence voters have passed.

Sound Off: License stickers
I'm totally confused. I got new stickers today and they look just like last year's (except they are red) . They are square with the year and month. I just put it right over last year's sticker.

I can see it now, all of the businesses that are suddenly classified as health and fitness facilities: bag your own grocery stores, pump your own gas, malls that have running/walking clubs, sweat shops.
