Baldwin City man charged in altercation with bicyclists south of Lawrence

By all accounts this was not an accident. If Scott's intent was to intentionally run into the cyclist with his truck then the victim will not simply get over it. Scott will have his day in court and then we'll all know what kind of guy he is.....a friendly, beer-drinking buddy or an out-of-control anger management candidate. The police have charged him with a crime, so something must be up with this guy.

If he is paralyzed and unable to drive a vehicle, then the courts would not convict him. If he is able to drive, then he would be able to commit the crime described.

Riding four abreast is a violation of state law, period. The solution is to form a single pace line to get the draft, where only one rider at a time pulls off. Therefore, there is never more than two abreast at any given time. The riders get the draft benefits, they comply with the law, it is easier for drivers to pass the riders, and drivers are less pissed-off about riders' disregard for the law.

He didn't say that being 'green' and 'peace-loving' was bad. He just said he wasn't a green peace-loving cyclist. You are twisting and contorting his words to promote a desired outcome.

How do I discontinue delivery of River City Pulse?

How many times do we have to call circulation to have this thing discontinued? It stops for a while until a new person takes over the route, then we have the problem once again. Since we are frequently away from the house for extended periods, these papers lying in the driveway just advertise the fact that the house is unoccupied. Journal-World....do you understand that?

Downtown revitalization, 30 years later

Talk about cutting corners, City Hall leaders who demand sprinkler systems in businesses and apartments does not even have a sprinkler system itself. And try making a delivery to that poorly-designed building at the so-called "loading dock". Many larger trucks have to block a lane of traffic to deliver anything to this forward-thinking facility. And convenient free parking for patrons of City Hall?....don't get me started.
