I knew who this man was. He seemed like a very kind and friendly person. Very sad- RIP.

One person dead in early morning car accident in Riverfront Park in North Lawrence
If it is true that this person was leading the police on a high speed chase, then I would not consider this to be an "accident".
Innocent drivers do not deserve to encounter a driver such as this one.
Miracle nobody else was taken out in this incident.

Brownback says state is returning to feds $31.5 million health care reform grant
The fool loves power so much, I am really starting to think he is going to have Kansas secede from the union and become the Holy Kingdom of Brownbackistan...
I agree with the previous opinions that all he cares about is cultivating his image for a run at president. He couldn't care less about the lowly, unwashed mass of Kansas taxpayers and working class.

Advisers begin K-10 cable barrier study
Not at all out of line with the current price of steel. There are 3 or 4 strands of cable and a steel post every 50-100 feet. So yes, there is a lot of steel per mile involved. And then there is the labor and equipment costs for it all to be installed. Doesn't sound out of line to me.
