Snowstorm complicates commute

Average high temperature in February in Kansas - 42 degrees.

This winter? About twenty degrees cooler.

So much for global warming.

Count tallies more than 400 homeless in Lawrence

Can we finally admit that homeless come to Lawrence because we provide services? Or do we still claim we provide services because there are homeless in Lawrence?

Winter delivers another blast

Hopefully, this cold month and a half will silence the global warming idiots for a bit.

New plans for Lawrence

$250,000 for this study.

$300,000 for the Wal-Mart attorney (from Overland Park).

$70,000 to find a city manager (and they picked a guy who was right upstairs).

I know we've had consultants for a variety of other projects.

Has any one actually added up how much this City Commission has spent on studies and consultants?

Experts see jury selection challenge

The lawyers *could* ask for a change of venue, but no attorney in his right mind would want to get out of a jury pool full of liberals.

Shots heard 'round the area bring calls for gunfire limits

Assault weapons and pistols in downtown Lawrence? Don't do anything.

Trained professionals shooting guns on land they've owned for 50 years out in the County? We must stop them now!!

You really have to love hippie-logic.

Sebelius says focus on Kansas, not D.C.

You'd be hard pressed to find an unkind word printed in the LJW about any Democrat.

And equally tasked to find a kind word about a Republican =/

Media bias is not always just national.

Sebelius: Coal plants likely

Sebelius is a Democrat, and hardly some "right-winger". As a left-leaning moderate, she supports the project.

I think this shows more about the hard-left progressives in Lawrence - and their ridiculous agenda - than it does about Sebelius.

Busy road has residents worried

People use residential side streets because the main streets are clogged.

For crying out loud, isn't it time to finish the SLT?

Ceremony honors police officers for heroic efforts

Fortunately, the blue wall of silence keeps them from talking about the corrosive smoke coming from the water plant.

Right, Cynthia?
