20 years gone

I realize this is a dead thread, but I just gotta ask something. With all these satanist theories apparently getting credence from some folks, how do you explain that he was the only alledged victim in Leavenworth county? There may have been others I'm unaware of, but it seems like there would have been more had the satinist theory been true. Besides the total lack of tangible evidence of human sacrifice in the entire history of the county and the lack of additional missing persons makes believing in an organized cult very hard to do.

And the missing car... who is going to go through the trouble of disposing of a car in the process of a murder/abduction? It wasn't a particularly valuable or sought after car. It's just more work for an alledged killer that he/she doesn't need to endeavor or endure. What does it gain them? A properly wiped down abandoned car, or a torched car, yields few more clues than a non-existent car. A few more, but it takes much less time and involves fewer people to just torch it or abandon it. These are the main problems I have with the whole abduction and murder theories. That and the fact that to my uninvolved knowledge, there has never been a single piece of physical evidence (or credible testimony) collected during this entire 23 years that points to abduction or murder.

Obama simply too far left for America

Couldn't agree more, Chuck. This administration is chock full of lefty statists. They are all lovers of Mao and Alinsky. 2012 can't come soon enough.

Area residents respond to Tiller's slaying with donations, other support

George, the point is that we CHOSE to prevent an unwanted pregnancy, not terminate one. So I guess I'm pro-choice. We put aside our animal desires temporarily to prevent prenancy until another option is implimented. It works. Go ahead and look down on it. People like you perpetuate the need for more abortions.

51-year-old man arrested in murder of George Tiller outside his church

Admittedly, I didn't read the 500+ comment on this story, but what stands out is the lefties' desire for a pro-lifer to defend or justify Mr. Roeder's actions. It seems to be killing them that no one will do it. Most of the posts have condemned the guy and none I read have praised him for anything. They have this preconceived notion that pro-lifers somehow are secretly joyous that Tiller is dead. I'm pretty damned conservative, and I know no one who is joyous. We're disgusted that this has to occur at all. Some of us are not particularly sad about it, but no one I have spoken to thinks it should have happened. The worst comment I have heard in my right wing circle is "good riddance." Hardly the hate speech you are all looking for.

"It takes two to tango. Why is it only the woman's responsibility to plan ahead? Condoms fail, birth control pills also fail. Happened to a friend of mine four years ago even they were using both."

Abstinence works everytime. Tell him to try it, if he has the self-control. I am happily married with children and am abstinent. My wife and I decided to have no more children and neither of us wanted to get surgery to prevent it. We've weighed the options and found this to be the most sure fix for now. And, I'll be damned if we still haven't needed an abortion yet. Crazy, isn't it?

Prosecutors charge Roeder with murder in death of George Tiller

“….a man who killed babies old enough to live on their own….'
This is a lie. I again urge you to read the articles I posted previously. By law late term abortions are only done on fetuses whose viability at birth is already determined to be nil. Get your facts straight."
(Determined by whom? Mr. Tiller and a paid assistant, no?)

B.S. Had you gone to Wichita four days ago, you could have gotten an elective late term abortion.

BTW, I see no one defending Roeder or even sympathizing with him, but the lefties keep insisting it's happening. I think their observations are really a glimpse at their desire for folks to defend Roeder so they can sieze on it and yell, "Gotcha!". We all think he's a complete loon that should have stayed home and talked to the hole in the wall or his neighbor's dog that day. He's just a typical psychotic cold-blooded killer.

No insanity defense? I guess I didn't know because I've never needed one. Surely there's something for the nuts out there that can't control their impulses.

"...so I would suggest that we honor Dr. Tiller by focusing on all of the good he did for the women that came to him for help, in an effort to tilt the balance ever-so-slightly back to the side of good in our world."

I will politely ignore your suggestion and continue to recoil in horror at the thought of the butchery practiced by the late Mr. Tiller.

Also, he just headed home, he didn't go on the lam. He had no weapon when arrested and didn't resist. Slam dunk insanity plea.
