Line-cutting, mobbing has KU Athletics reviewing Late Night admittance protocol

Oh, no doubt you and many others pay money to the university. I was simply stating my reasoning for attending class as many others did that day. As someone else mentioned, it's another reason that it would probably be better to hold the event over a break instead of when class is in session.

Line-cutting, mobbing has KU Athletics reviewing Late Night admittance protocol

While unfortunate that many people who had waited in line for hours did not get in, and that a handful of people ruined this by rushing the door, causing a rapid, panicked domino effect, it is rather irresponsible to place this blame solely toward students. I was one of those students mentioned in the article who joined friends who had saved spots in line right after I finished class (at an institution, I may add, to which I pay a considerable amount of money to attend and therefore did not skip class, but I digress). I can understand how this may seem unfair to many, but when you have a free, unticketed event this is bound to happen no matter what. KU athletics need to place blame where it is due, on the fact that admission to this event was organized and planned in a sloppy manner, and hopefully will be a wake up call for a better Late Night in the future.
