Navajo Code Talker to receive degree from KU 60 years after departure

Mr. Nez has a wonderful book, "Code Talker: The First and Only Memoir by one of the Original Navajo Code Talkers of WWII." Written with Judith Schiess Avila. Really neat. Wish I knew how to get an autograph on a Kindle book!

Sorry if this is duplicated. We were scrambling and trying to do what we could to get the message out. No excuses. We screwed up. We're embarrassed. We will learn from the criticisms and appreciate the constructive responses. And we certainly hope we don't have to resort to "breaking news" anytime soon.

We were scrambling, doing the best we could at the time with the resources we had. No excuse. We fell short of our own and others' expectations on many fronts. We certainly will learn from your reaction (although we hope we don't have any similar situation anytime soon.) Thanks!

Journal-World, Sunflower Publishing offices moving from 609 to 645 New Hampshire St.

To this and a similar question from gilly, the "bricked in" windows were an architectural feature anticipating future uses for the building, and the bricks were intended as security on street level. Our presses and newsprint inventory are behind that facade. It never was intended as any insult.
