Town Talk: Esquina to close in downtown Lawrence, St. Louis-style Italian restaurant to take its place; City Hall to pay company's moving expenses; tougher tow regulations on tap for Lawrence
I hope this new Italian restaurant puts Pissano’s out of business. That place is a dump.

Plan to spend $1 million for more downtown parking to get closer look
Do the people planning this realize that if they spend $1,000,000 for 72 parking spaces that comes out to almost $14,000 per space! That is crazy talk!

State agency refuses to answer questions from legislators about growing waiting lists
Doesn't Brownback realize by not providing funding to these people in need now their condition could worsen and they could end up in a nursing home/hospital, etc. This would end up costing the government even more money in the long run. You can’t just pretend like this doesn’t exist.

Man pistol-whipped in attempted robbery at The Reserve apartments; two suspects in custody
It’s always the trashy people from Topeka and KC that cause the majority of issues involving guns and robberies in Lawrence.

Town Talk: Church strikes deal to move into vacant Masonic Temple building in Downtown Lawrence
I like how Compton admitted to buying the building without a plan for it. Does he have so much money he just likes spending it or is he that desperate to have a monopoly of all the real estate in Lawrence?
