Citizen's petition calls for smoking ban on Massachusetts Street

I would sign it. Maybe they could make it so that bars/restaurants could allow it after 10 pm as a compromise.

Traffic flowing on 23rd Street after Friday gas leak

Doesn't it seem like knowing what happened is something a LDCFM official should be told?!

I switched from Silver to Palladium in December or January. It's about $10 more per month but I didn't notice any quality difference. I guess it's time to switch back to Silver and save myself $10. I really hope they get the HBO Go thing going right away, it's stupid for them not to have that up and running by this point!

It's Meadowbrook apartments, not Meadowlark, not that it's really important to the story.

Fund established to help Lawrence family displaced by fire

I think sometimes there can be a delay in getting temporary housing funds from the insurance company, so that's probably why the Red Cross is helping. They probably also needed clothing right away to get through a few days until their items could be cleaned. I know when we had a house fire when I was 12 it took several washing cycles to get the smoke smell out of clothes, and some of the clothes had to be thrown away because the smell wouldn't come out.

I am glad no one was injured, and think it's great the Red Cross is able to help!
