Weekday graduations get mixed reviews from parents and families
I think we're all ignoring the fact that no one, ever, has enjoyed attending a graduation ceremony. By putting it on a weekday, you make it easier for people to make up excuses to not attend. This is a step in the right direction.

Sound Off: Loud event
When you say "masquerading", does that mean that they actively encourage people to believe that it's a nonprofit event? Or do people just tend to assume its nonprofit, since these kind of events usually are? I haven't been to any of them, so I don't know.

Ad campaign accuses Kansas schools of low academic standards

Questions abound about Obama's KU visit
What do you want him to do, dust for fingerprints? This is a law enforcement issue. You develop leads and follow them through; even if Obama has to make any decisions, don't worry, I'm pretty sure he gets cell phone coverage out here. I'm guessing he has ways of contacting people.

Lawhorn's Lawrence: Hopping around with downtown's Toad
Sure, stories should be accurate. No one disputes that. If the reporter overlooks a very minor detail, all you have to do is let them know. There's no need to act like a jerk about it.
