Tempers flare after county workers remove beaver dam at wetlands; water flows to south side of 31st Street

Green Machine has a good point!
Louisiana and Texas build elevated roads for miles and miles. BUILD AN ELEVATED ROAD AND LEAVE THE WETLANDS BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! The construction would do some damage, but the wildlife would return.

Too bad we couldn't see it from space!!
I like beavers and beaver dams, however sometimes I shoot them because repairing a pond dam that a beaver has destroyed can cost thousands of dollars.

Destroying this beaver dam is a way to destroy the habitat and show that the wetlands are no longer supporting wildlife so they can DRAIN THE WETLANDS and begin bulldozing for economic development. I hate it, but mark my words it is coming soon. I think it is a BIG mistake and we would benefit more from preserving the wetlands.

Let's do something about it!

Should marijuana be legalized?

Home SLice.
I guarantee you there is easier access to Marijuana, Cocaine , X, and LSD in our middle schools and high schools than anywhere else. I was in a very nice high school just about a decade ago and drugs were rampant and easily accessible, I am sure that has not changed.

What's this new stuff?? Cheez? Flavored Heroin....sounds great, maybe we should put that on popsicle sticks so kids can ingest easier!!

Legalizing Hemp would make our cloths, meat, paper and probably almost all consumer products go down in price. You can build houses with it..Sounds like a no brainer. The paper and cotton industry were major players in outlawing Hemp.

I would love to see a debate on why/why not hemp should be legalized. I don't think there would be much of an argument.

If you were getting married today would you ask for a prenuptial agreement?

Even without a prenup your partner still gets half your stuff (in divorce) in the state of Kansas from what I have heard. Common Property or something like that? Anyone know about this?????
Either way, some people have too many hard earned assets to piss away on a marriage that has a 50% chance of failing.

Court may extend gun owner rights nationwide

beatrice,
roeDapple is pointing out that murders are going up in Britain. Britain does not allow much at all for handguns. I do not know their laws, but I do know that gun ownership is severely restricted there. So the criminals have handguns and the citizens do not have handguns to protect themselves.

Court may extend gun owner rights nationwide

Irresponsible gun owners that do not properly store their weapons and properly educate their children on safe gun use are indeed a problem....BUT you can't take away rights because people die from irresponsible gun use. People that are licensed to carry concealed pass a background check and get an education course on appropriate use of their firearm. At least i know who ISN"T a felon.........

Despite buyout funding being on list of state budget cuts, officials pledge to complete purchase of contaminated Kansas town

The government started the wars that fueled the demand for that lead.
