Law enforcement officers kept very busy early Saturday throughout Douglas County

Apparently I overlooked including that in the post. Both larger disturbances were in the 1000 block of Mass, the non-injury accident was in the 900 block, and the strong armed robbery was in the 800 block.

Interstate 70 reopens to one lane in each direction following tractor trailer accident and fire.

I just updated the post. KDOT says that there is one lane in each direction open now. Still unclear when the accident will be all cleaned up.

I noticed this as well edson. The accident is near mile marker 205, which is EAST of both Lawrence turnpike interchanges.

The east gate is mile marker 204. Mile marker numbers increase as you move eastbound. Between the 204 and 212 the Interstate is closed, so yes you will need to find a different route this morning.

The 48 hour calls log only accounts for Lawrence Police units attached to the call, does not include LDCFM.

Zach, just so you are aware, the city of Lawrence's website is http://www.lawrenceks.org/

The link that you shared seems to be Lawrence, Indiana.

LadyJ, as for the MS4 I am not familiar with that other than that it relates to the sewer system. I will pass that information along to my Journal-World partners for them to follow up on it.

The owner of Taste surrendered his liquor license in June of 2012.

Earlier LJWorld report from June 27, 2012,

"State and city officials said Lee Riley, of Topeka, who was listed as the owner of Taste, 804 W. 24th St., had surrendered Taste’s liquor license to the ABC one week ago.

“As a result of the revocation, it is our understanding that Lee Riley will not be eligible to possess a state of Kansas liquor license in the future,” City Attorney Toni Wheeler said."
