KU student killed in crash on U.S. Highway 59
Condolences for this family's loss - that being said.
1) The man ran a stop sign
2) The man was not using a seat belt
3) The man was ejected from his vehicle
All 3 of these points were correctable by the man.
Why must people insist on blaming the highway, the road, KDOT and anything else they can think of because one man made some bad decisions?

Methinks the "fix" is in. "Now, guys let's make sure our bids are really below projected so we can get this boondoggle going. We'll make our profits after the contract(s) are signed."

Simons' Saturday Column: Menards again reveals city’s stunted retail thinking
This place, Lawrence, is dead as a viable business community. New business unfriendly - unless trendy or research oriented. You don't want jobs for upper-lower class or even middle-class. I just returned, for a very short while, from a trip to Texas you silly people should go down there for a few days to see what them nasty businesses can accomplish.

I sure like how Liberals throw Obama's 90% figure around all the time. Might want to look at this one AP/roper http://ap-gfkpoll.com/main/wp-content...
