Two convenience stores coming to downtown Lawrence

A 24/7 store downtown? I hope there's room in there for a police substation.

Thatcher had ties to Douglas County

OK, today I'm going to be "that guy":

"used to attend the chapel, which her father, Alfred Williams, preached at."

preached AT? Come on, man. My grasp of the language isn't the best, but I know this is a faux pas. Something to do with prepositions and such.

Lawrence resident pleads guilty to organizing $16M drug trafficking ring

Laundering money is really hard. The banks will flag any suspicious activity, such as a 4 booth tanning salon raking in $36K a month. Anyone at the bank who saw that would point it out to a supervisor.

Driver crashes into house after losing control of vehicle on K-10

In many vehicles, putting the key in the off position locks the steering wheel. Some people from Kansas were killed on Pike's Peak some years back when their brakes began to fail and the inexperienced driver tried to stop the car by turning off the engine. No one survived.
