Missouri governor vetoes tax cut
Yes they will and they are. Home sales have sky rocketed in KC from families crossing over the border. This info comes from a realtor who sold 12 houses in Jan of this year and almost the same number every month since. The majority are moving over the state line.

Analysis group believes new tax plan could ruin Kansas
"So you're saying they ARE right?" I'm saying I don't know because I do not have enough information. I'm not a right or left wing nut bag hell bent on blaming the other party at any cost, right or wrong. I stated I would like an independent study on the future financial future of Kansas. Is that so crazy?

Regents blast higher education budget cuts approved by Legislature, say tuition will increase, call on Brownback to veto portion of cuts
Seems like KU has been doing a fine job on its own going down the toilet over the last five years with enrollment decline while MU, KSU, WSU and Washburn are on the rise.

NRA-backed Kansas gun-lobbying law raises tough speech issues
Why does Garner think gun owners can dictate how any tax dollars are spent? Nonsense.

"The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities describes itself as a policy organization that works on federal and state fiscal policies and programs that affect low- and moderate-income families. It is sometimes described as left-leaning."
So far left it fell over. Not saying they are not right but it would be nice to see a truly indendent, non-partisan study. Unfortunately someone has to foot the bill and the person who pays for the study gets the results they want.

City discussing new police facility
“Anything else that comes before us, we need to beat it off with a stick because this is where we need to spend our next big chunk of change,” Farmer said
Ummm, like a Rec Center?
Let's hope the Fritzels offer another donation to build the new police facility. I assume the new building is $24m according to the the city which has one of the best track records of cost estimates when compared to a monkey and Fritzel will offer to build it for only $18m and all of our leaders will jump for joy what a great deal it will be. What are the chances our city would recieve two wonderful gifts so quickly. I think Fritzel just started the infrastruture on the new police building after the meeting last night.

Man facing felony drug charges in connection with Saturday incident at Lawrence McDonald's
"it's also not a very "Christian" way to discuss issues." - Can you back that up, I disagree with your statement.
"I notice you didn't answer the question about driver's licenses." - I did when I stated we have laws so the lawful have a guideline to follow.
"I don't know anybody who claims that background checks will solve all of the problems" - Then why pass a law that does not solve the probem?
"but that point doesn't mean what you want it to mean" - It means exactly what I want it to mean, not what you think it means. I never stated or believe laws are irrelevant, that would be a ridiculous statement. The law change you advocate for guns are irrelevant and useless and do not deal with the real issue at hand which is mental health care. As the two men in England showed us when they caught off a mans head in the street or the Boston bomber murders, the mentally ill can kill without guns.

Editorial: Tax impacts
I'm curious as to what state all the unhappy Kansans think is such a better place to live? I'm not saying move there if you don't like Kansas because most of us realize that is not a realistic option for most and Kansas is far from perfect but I'm just curious of others opinions on what is the best state.

That's why we have laws, so the lawful have a guideline to follow. Criminals do not obey laws. Fact or fiction? Passing more gun laws will not stop criminals from behaving like criminals. Passing more gun laws are only so people like you can feel safe burying your head in the sand a bit more. More gun laws solve nothing.
