Million-dollar meth seizure just one example of drug war in Douglas County

How can Kansas collect tax money on criminal activity? I haven't heard of that before!

I wish they would publish these Meth addicts pictures. The buyers and the sellers and their houses. I don't care about weed, but Meth costs the community a lot of money.

LJ World... I'll look at ads, but your intrusive questions are a bit strange and confused me. At first I thought your articles were just REALLY short. Why the questions?

City approves Menards store next to Home Depot at 31st and Iowa streets

Very disappointed they will not be on the northwest side. I don't have time to mess around with another large store on South Iowa.

City commissioner wants state to revoke nightclub's liquor license

1. Nothing good happens after midnight.
2. Instead of packing the bars at 10:30, people will go earlier and it would be safer.

Lawrence man, 53, punched by stranger on Massachusetts Street

Downtown Lawrence is gaining a very bad reputation for drug addicts and crazies harassing people all hours of the day and night. Something does need to be done. I do not blame the local bars. Bars don't get people high, make people criminals, or make people mentally ill.

Bulk of homes in Douglas County expected to see decline in values; county to send out new values at month's end

Property taxes are WAY to high in this town! I shouldn't have to go without while the city throws money around. Take care of citizen's quality of life and not your pet projects and big agenda.

Lawrence Humane Society seeking temporary housing for up to 60 dogs

Be thankful we have such a large shelter and they do such a great job with our city's pet population. When is the last time you saw a wild group of dogs in your neighborhood or had to worry about Rabies? The wonderful staff at the Humane Society will find a solution for any animals that need shelter in February. They work with the community everyday and can handle this... don't insult them or doubt how much they care about animals.

Fritzel breaks silence on proposed Rock Chalk Park deal, says he won't profit from the KU sports complex

Can we just put the New Lawrence Rec Center somewhere else, like right by Walmart and let Fritzel have his stupid Jayhawk whatever a million miles from Campus? I want my family to go work out and not deal with this ridiculous Fritzel monster place. We have several rec centers in town and each side, Poor and Wealthy, deserves a nice place with nice equipment.

These students must be kicked out of KU or at least this frat. Unacceptable behavior.

Town Talk: Dillons on Sixth Street seeking to add drive-thru pharmacy, $1 million worth of improvements; downtown restaurants scramble to pick up breakfast diners; city to contemplate Varsity House

I'm with you on leaving Dillon's alone. The pharmacy expansion sounds nice as they are busy and overworked. No thank you to the mega-store. I don't have 2 hours to shop.
