Sebelius cites longtime professional relationship in picking Biles for Supreme Court
To Judge Fairchild:It is a shame that the governor did not appoint you to the Kansas Supreme Court. You are unquestionably the most qualified of the three nominees. But, unfortunately you are not a crony of the governor. Once again it appears that "who you know" is more important than "what you know." While the governor's failure to appoint you to the Supreme Court is a great loss to the entire State of Kansas, it is a blessing to all of the people of Douglas county who will enjoy our good fortune of continuing to have such an excellent judge presiding over the Douglas County Court. Thank you for your service to this county.
