Town Talk: Saints to open in Old Chicago location by Sept. 1; Dillons to close Mass. store on Saturday; more on K-State and to tax or not to tax

Westar acknowledges unacceptability of recent outages

Westar should pay a penalty (to the customers) every time there's an outage. You were without power for 2 hours? That's $20 off your bill. I'll bet with a penalty system in place, Westar would improve their reliability quickly.

How often would you eat at Olive Garden if they opened one in Lawrence?

I'd rather get a Popeye's Fried Chicken in town.

Town Talk: Burger King headed to northwest Lawrence; library project adds potential twists; city to consider $200,000 for Freedom's Frontier exhibit

Agreed. My family would love having a Popeye's in town. The one in Topeka closed before I knew it was there. Right now the closest one is in Olathe.
