Just Food agency and letter carriers want your canned and dry foods to 'Stamp Out' hunger
We are fortunate in this community to have a food pantry with good leadership. Oftentimes, a community food pantry is run by volunteers and lacks oversight. Mr. Farmer and staff do a tremendous job with minimal adminstrative costs.

City's snow removal costs for season up to $317K and counting; more than triple a year ago
City’s snow removal costs for season up to $317K and counting; more than triple a year ago
Although this headline is technically correct, it is sensationalized considering we had little to no snow last year. So of course it's tripled over last year.
Chad, your story is incomplete...the more relevant headline and statistic would have related to the actual city budget for snow removal. What is that?

Family using Christmas lights to raise funds for Just Food
Jdeck, Sorry for the delay. No, the Stoltenberg's moved to Tonganoxie and changed their display name to Technicolor Christmas. They live on larger property and will have an expanded display next Christmas. They have been instrumental in sharing their expertise with me, and getting my display up and running. ;)
Thanks, Kent Fisher

Longtime employee Linda Lassen 1 of 2 laid off at Penn House on Friday
Linda, saying you will be missed is an understatement. Client benefits will surely suffer without your leadership. Our family enjoys adopting-a-family through Penn House each year, and we will miss working with you.
Best Wishes,
Kent and Stephanie Fisher

Thanks Jeremy for your work at Just Food, and for providing us a practical, secure method to solicit donations via text. This has been a fun and rewarding experience for our family, and we hope to exceed our goal of $1000 for Just Food.
