Teller's restaurant to change name and concept to Merchants Pub & Plate

I'd just hate to get stuck with a worthless $100 gift certificate. Didn't mean it as a threat.

Teller's restaurant to change name and concept to Merchants Pub & Plate

Hopefully they'll honor my Teller's gift certificate. If they do, I'll give it a shot and probably be a regular customer. If they don't, I doubt I ever walk through the door.

KU portion of Rock Chalk Park project wins approval at Lawrence City Hall; KU Relays could be at site by 2014

That sums it up well. There are lots of CAVE people in Lawrence...citizens against virtually everything. If you want to find them, just read the comments after almost any article here. This is a great project for Lawrence and for KU!

Scientist takes leap to decoding cancer metastasis

As a person with cancer that has metastasized, I read this article with great interest and even excitement, then your comment had to to crap all over it. It must be a nasty little world that you live in, where you find fault, or problems in everything.

Plan to raze McCollum Hall in the works

I was an RA in McCollum in '78 and '79, and I always thought it was too big. Just too many humans under one roof. As an RA it was hard to get to know many of the residents on the 3 wings. Surprised they're tearing it down, though. All things considered I suppose this is more cost effective than renovating the beast. Btw, Fourth Floor, aka "the crazy mole people."

Students kick off new school year with KU traditions

I hope they didn't teach yelling "woo" during the chant. That's not the tradition and it's time to get it right.

State, university leaders hail KU's designation from National Cancer Institute

This is a great day for Kansas and a great day for KU. Don't need to sully it with politics. About 6 months ago I had heard about KU's quest for this designation and thought that would be nice and hope they get it. A month later I was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer and it became a whole lot more important. This was an important day in my life (hopefully longer now) and the lives of folks like me all over the midwest. Woo-hoo!

KU eager to hear NCI ruling

I was diagnosed with colon cancer 5 months ago and I'm very hopeful this happens. It would mean a lot to me and people with this horrible disease throughout the area. Fingers are crossed.
