Drivers encounter slick roads after early morning snow
I have to put my two cents worth in ....my husband, who grew up in Topeka, thinks we are having a blizzard when we get 3 inches of snow, and panics about driving...I grew up in southern Indiana and remember having drifts that all but closed most roads and I still drove without any accidents. I say when there is only a dusting, as we had today, there is no need to "clear the streets" of snow, if it is icy then sand/salt hills and intersections. Otherwise some people just need to take a course in winter driving...I would gladly teach it! :-)

Sunflower Broadband drops two KC channels after stalled negotiations
Did I say that my post was in reference to YOUR post Sigmund? Feeling a bit guilty, are you? If the LJW/Sunflower/KTKA were to go under and the Simons go broke...then what would you have to complain about on here?

Sunflower Broadband drops two KC channels after stalled negotiations
Oh please! Try moving to JOCO and signing up for Time Warner...after many satisfied years with Sunflower I was apalled at the lack of concerned customer service!!! Calls were not returned, service calls never happened, very poor video and audio quality and phone service...I could go on....and on. Since I was not in an area that offered Sunflower or Everest (which I was told was comparable to Sunflower in customer service). I finally had enough and cancelled, I never even received a call back to ask why I cancelled or to adjust my bill for service not received. So instead of bashing Sunflower, count your blessings! And on another note, those who know the Simons family personally would never say such harsh things about the World Company holdings. They are successful due to being good business minded people and also caring for others. And in case you are wondering, no I am not related to them, but would be proud to be :)
