Conservative-Moderate GOP battles in Kansas reflected in campaign finance reports
I guess it never occurred to Sen. Bruce, or anyone else, that maybe this means KNEA and the Teamsters are getting more conservative, NOT that the mod's are getting more liberal.

Campaign won't elaborate on Jenkins missing KPERS meetings
The issue is hypocrisy. Jenkins touts her CPA status and her record as state treasurer to bolster the claim that she can be a "leader" in a time of economic crisis. But her record in public office shows she behaves otherwise. The state treausurer is an important member of the KPERS board. But she clearly doesn't care enough about her fiduciary responsibility to show up at meetings because she's "too busy." Doing what? Campaigning for another office, obviously. And who's to say if she gets in, she won't be "too busy" to tend to that office either?
