The modern day republican ideology.... sounds very much like Russia prior to the revolution of 1917. Read up on it. rockchalk1977, you appear to be living in the wrong age. However, you sound as if you know where the door is. :)

Does having more people with concealed carry gun permits make you feel safer
Yes, a thinning of the herd is one solution. However, perhaps a more reasonable one would be in order to have CC or Open Carry permit one would have to pass a very challenging and educational class (or classes),... perhaps on an ongoing basis.
From my experience there are way too many people out there that don't have what it takes to possess a killing tool, let alone in a public environment. It creates a bit of a mine field... the more mines, the more likely one is going to go off.

Eudora mayor endorses Holland, criticizes Brown
The same can easily be said of Brown. He didn't communicate with any of the local officials that were petitioning the state to get this through. And, admits that he never even called Hopson back. That's an excellent demonstration to your constituents your lack of interest.
