Rally-goers seek expansion of Medicaid; Brownback’s office says discussion continues

A member of my family was given no notice that her pain pills will not be renewed under Brownback's privatizing of medicare -she will now have to make several trips to the emergency room to get pain meds - at taxpayer's expense. This is just plain stupid! I suppose If he shoots himself in the foot out playing pheasant hunter he will also not get pain pills since we taxpayer's pay for his health insurance?

Obama wins re-election

Halleluyah! My faith in this country's wisdom has been restored once again! It appears that the bitter & massive mess that George W. Bush inflicted on our economy has enlightened the masses. It also sends a very loud & strong message to Mr.Romney that all of his millions of dollars cannot buy an election afterall ! - now lets hope that Kansans take heed & get rid of this A**hole that was elected Governor who EVERY Kansan knows by now is simply a Koch puppet taking money out of the hands of the poor & giving it to the top 1% of the very wealthy - this we will not stand anymore! We are fed up with Mr. B & his days are numbered! How this man can scr*w the truly poor & disabled & then go to church the next day as a "Christian" is beyond my comprehension - he will truly pay for his actions someday soon for this life is but a blink of an eye - there will come a time to answer someone way more powerful than you are sir!

But, . . but, . . .but . . It's Obama's Fault.

Help me understand why it is such a Godawful terrible thing for every American to have health insurance? As we speak there are thousands of people all over this country literally dying in their homes because they have lost their health insurance when they lost their jobs or simply cannot afford the $500 - $1000 a month to have health insurance. In another 5 years it will cost $2000 - $5000 a month to have health insurance. If you are the parent of a child with luekemia what do you say to your child? "I'm sorry but your fellow countrymen don't give a damn if you die a miserable death because you were too unfortunate to be born into a family whose last name isn't Bush or Romney."

Libya response

I suppose Bush's "foreign policy" is considered a raving "success?"

1. Bush invaded a country that had nothing to do with 911, but everything to do with big oil (Exxon-Mobil posted the hughest profits during this period in all of American history);
2. The "conservative GOP Bush" spent $Trillions of OUR tax dollars so that Exxon-Mobil could post these outrageous profits, then gave CEO's $Millions of dollars in bonuses on the backs of the U.S. taxpayer.
3. Bush killed over 100,000 Iraqi civilians & 4000 of our own kids searching for "Weapons of Mass Destruction." (yeah right, I'm surprised Bush didn't buy up ocean front property in Arizona with taxpayer money - it would have made just as much sense.

Not better off

Clinton said it best "Bush left Obama & this country in one hell of a mess" between the two wars that Bush started costing $Trillions looking for Saddam's "Weapons of Mass Destruction" - (we all know now this was an outright lie), coupled with Wall Street & the Huge Banks raping the country until they almost brought the entire economy to it's brutal death - all while Bush & company looked the other way (& the GOP still says de-regulate everything & let the chips fall where they may? - oh really! - yeah that's really worked!) - Now the GOP says "Obama hasn't cleaned up Bush's mess fast enough" all while the GOP fought Obama every step of the way while he tried the only things within his power to jump start the economy back to some form of normality. Why is the Dow back up to 13K? Why is GM back in business? Why is Bin Laden dead, why are the terrorists who hijacked the U.S. merchant ship all dead now? Why is it that for the first time in U.S. history EVERY American will have access to health care?, & not just the rich & people who are lucky enough to have health insurance through their employers (which is getting more scarce every day). I think considering the monumental mess that Bush & company left for Obama he has done one hell of a job & Dr. Bruner is a very wise & respected person for telling it like it is - good for you Dr. Bruner! Keep up the good word! Especially now that we have our nutcase Governor raping Kansas - We need you now more than ever.

Parties have broad differences

I saw Kirk Douglas on a late night talk show a couple of weeks ago. He had a stroke & labors to speak but what he said was profound & powerful; he said "We are no longer Americans, we are either red or blue or we don't care anymore." Very sad. Our country is in deep trouble.

Brownback defends tax cuts as necessary to grow the economy

Yes, that's what we need, less regulations & give more money to the millionaires. We don't need regulations? Really?? De-regulating the banks is what caused the second Great Depression! Repealing the Glass-Steagal Act (& similar de-regulation) is why the handful of banks that already own all of this country's wealth were allowed to bundle millions of worthless sub-prime mortgages & sell this crap on Wall Street where their buddies gave them a 4 star rating & they made $Trillions of dollars (yes that's with a "T"). Millions of good Americans have lost their jobs, homes, retirements, & savings, so these millionaire jerks were allowed to take more money away from the working class. Millions of good hard working Americans have paid with blood so these people can get even richer. They might as well just stole the money right out of the bank accounts of the middle class & deposited it in the accounts of the Wall Street millionaires because that's where it all ended up at.

Why is it that everyone blames Obama for bailing out the big banks? Do people's brains really only go back to 2009? Anyone who doesn't remember G.W.Bush getting on national TV in 2008 & pleading to Congress & the American people that we had no choice but to bail out the "Too big to fail" banks - I have a CD copy of it I'll be happy to loan to you - or you can simply google it, believe me it was Bush who signed the first $700 Billion dollar bail out bill (& the banks didn't even have to tell us - the people who paid for it - what they spent the money on! What a deal! That's really punishing them for screwing the entire national economy to the tune of $Trillions of dollars! You really showed those guys Georgie! And where were them thar darn guvment reggerlaters at to ensure that these things don't happen? Where was the SEC regulators? How many of Bush's foxes were guarding the hen houses for multiple years while all this went down?

Obama: Recovery path hard, challenge 'can be met'

The insatiable greed of Wall Street bankers & stockbrokers, backed by their buddy G.W.Bush who looked the other way, is exactly what caused this Great Recession. After Bush captured his second term in 2004 the banking industry tripled the amount of bad mortgages issued at subprime rates (Wikipedia sub-prime mortgage crisis) to anyone who could still breathe no matter how secure their incomes were, how much savings they had, or how much they could put down on a house. Indeed many banks lended 20% more than a property was even worth! The numerous banks that went belly up would actually advertize on the radio & TV that they would finance houses at 120% of what they were worth, no matter what your credit score was! As all this was happening while the Bush Republican de-regulators let the foxes guard their own hen houses. Then for "punishment" of bringing our entire economy to the brink of disaster Bush hands over $700 Billion dollars of OUR money to the millionaire bankers & stockbrokers who already screwed this country! Hey, it was Bush's second term, he had nothing to lose, but the bankers & stockbrokers had everything to gain & they ripped off the American people until we bled & let the middle class take all the hits of losing their jobs, their homes, their savings, health insurance, retirement funds, etc, etc. Oh yes, & let's blame this hell of a mess on Obama - do we really have Americans out there that are this stupid? God help us. They should have jailed Bush & all his buddies for the rest of their lives & thrown the key away after what they did to this country. Bush did do one good thing, he took care of Saddam's "weapons of mass destruction" all for the small bill to the American taxpayers for the tidy sum of over a $Trillion dollars ...... that was a "Mission Accomplished" alright! - not to mention the thousands of dead & maimed brave men & women of our military. Yes, by all means, let's put Romney in there so he can lead us right back down that path again, only one more trip like that & we can kiss this country goodbye. Better take advantage of bearing arms now boys because when the economy goes off the cliff for good the next time you'll need those arms when the grocery store shelves are bare & there is no food, water, gas, or utilities.
